Presenting a crucial part of my ongoing project-a storyboard for a video advert designed for my website. This is a significant step in my journey of mastering product videos, and its implementation on social media will further refine my marketing strategies. Accompanying this is a sample motion graphic created in Adobe After Effects.

I usually take market information, such as user research and product information, to brainstorm video ideas. By visualizing and sketching a storyboard and writing a script, I can develop the upper-level ideas before getting into detail and submitting them for approval. After that, I got more feedback and began shooting. This can be iterative if a better idea comes up while at work and specific changes are desired. After the shoot, I worked on the post-production, which included video editing, transitions, effects, and sound.

Please see the After Effects transition animations and other pre- and post-production videos I have worked on below. I present them with pride, as they are a testament to my skills and dedication.

In the real world, After Effects and Premiere can be used to create stunning advertising videos using good-quality footage and a bit of creativity. The sizzle reel above is an example of a restaurant advertisement or a grocery store. I had fun playing with time remapping and incorporated a whip pan, rotation, and zoom warp transitions. The footage was 1080p and 30Hz, so the slow-motion time remapping is choppier than I'd like. This could also use a logo animation at the end with a CTA. I hope to polish this video further. I do suggest turning it up to HD. For some reason, YouTube insists on playing in SD by default.

Stay tuned for a high-production quality artistic video clip I am working on. And the Prizmpix advert associated with the storyboard above!

It was best to have a proper logo animation to introduce our videos. I produced a Linkup logo in After Effects, and it became a staple used in all Linkup videos. We made two versions. The animation immediately above was chosen.

The second-place log animation has some great effects. We thought we had trouble making the infinity loop look good enough. It is one of those ideas that is good in theory but not as imagined when seen in person.

One of our best-selling products, gaming computer power cables, became a very competitive segment. Luckily, we were in the market early to get established before the flood, but we had to continue our marketing efforts to keep ahead of the game. Enter this video, where I enjoyed shooting in the dark to show off the gaming LEDs and neat tech. They are popular amongst gamers. There is a segment of motion graphics near the beginning. In this video, we finally had a track that I put to use to get smooth panning shots.

I shot the video below on an SLR that was outdated at the time and not meant for high-quality video, resulting in somewhat grainy footage. When life gives you lemons, you've got to make lemonade. Overall, I was happy with the art direction I provided (for myself) and achieving the panning I was aiming for. It's a bit shaky, but I did that free-hand with a DJI gimbal. It took many hours of taking shot after shot after shot to get something smooth enough (not perfect) to release. This video was one of my first, and after the BopTop video, we bought a small track to do better panning shots. It was used for the gaming power cable video seen above.

The video above was my first shot with an iPhone. I had trouble with the resolution on the final b-roll panning shot. It was one of those instances where I couldn't get back and set up to reshoot, so I had to live with the footage I already had. Again, freehand panning. Some motion graphics are hiding in the video.
